Foundational Cycles: The 22 Arcana
There are no spells, only engines. All stable magic is the product of a Cycle: a self-sustaining engine in the soul that loops energy through multiple Sefirot to produce an ongoing effect. Mastering this art is the foundation of the "Build Wide" philosophy.
This document catalogues the foundational Cycles derived from the 22 Arcana. For rare or heretical Cycles, see the supplementary text on Esoteric & Dissonant Cycles. For larger, cooperative workings, see Rituals & Artifacts.
Note on the Fractured Throne: Following the War of the Shifting Throne, Keter is no longer a unified source. Cycles involving Keter are now strongly aligned with the faction whose aspect of Keter they draw from (Law for the Concord, Life for the Garden, Balance for the Middle Pillar). This has made these Cycles more Resonant within their own philosophy but more Dissonant when combined with concepts from other Pillars.

Properties of a Cycle
Once established, a Cycle is a living system with the following traits:
- Sustained Effect: Creates a passive aura blending the concepts of its component Sefirot.
- Power Growth: Refines the soul, increasing power and helping achieve new Milestones.
- Taint Accumulation: Generates Taint, requiring rest and purification.
- Auric Beacon: Makes magical stealth impossible.
- Catastrophic Collapse: A break in focus can cause a violent collapse, inflicting severe magical Corruption.
Foundational Cycles (The 22 Arcana)
C1. The Fool's Gambit (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S1-S2)
- Sefirot: S1 Keter ↔ S2 Chokmah
- Archetype: Sacred Fool.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The cycle runs on the constant creation and annihilation of luck. The user channels the pure, unmanifested potential of Keter into Chokmah, which fractures the unity into a spray of improbable possibilities. These possibilities, lacking any defined form, immediately decay back into the raw potential of Keter, restarting the loop.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Improbability." The user does not control the luck, but reality bends around them. Statistically impossible events (both good and bad) become commonplace. A stray arrow might hit a bird that then falls on an enemy's head. A perfectly aimed shot might miss because a butterfly landed on the bowstring.
- Dissonance & Risk: The cycle's Dissonance stems from linking the absolute unity of Keter with the infinite multiplicity of Chokmah—a paradox of one and many. The primary risk is Hollowing, as the user's identity is constantly bombarded by a thousand things they could be, eroding the sense of what they are. Collapse triggers a "Possibility Bomb," a localized reality-scrambling event where all probable outcomes in the immediate area happen at once.
- Post-Fracturing Dynamics: The cycle's nature depends on the user's Keter aspect. The Garden's "Keter of Life" creates chaotic, improbable growth. The Concord's "Keter of Law" creates glitches and paradoxes in causality.
C2. The First Word (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S1-S3)
- Sefirot: S1 Keter ↔ S3 Binah
- Archetype: Reality-Scribe.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine runs on the act of creation ex nihilo. The user channels Keter's pure, formless potential ("is-ness") into Binah, which impresses upon it a single, perfect, limiting definition ("this-ness"). The act of defining something so absolutely creates a conceptual vacuum, which in turn draws more raw potential from Keter to be defined.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Definition." The user's words gain metaphysical weight. When they name something, they reinforce its reality. The negative application is "un-naming," a slow, deliberate deconstruction of a target's conceptual reality by logically refuting its core principles.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance is profound, linking the formless (Keter) with the ultimate principle of form (Binah). It risks a blended Hollowing and Petrification. Hollowing from the Keter aspect, as the user becomes a conduit for emptiness, and Petrification from the Binah aspect, as they become trapped in their own rigid definitions. Collapse triggers "The Un-naming," where the user's own concept of self is targeted by their collapsing cycle, risking ego-death.
- Post-Fracturing Dynamics: This cycle is hyper-resonant for Concordians drawing on the "Keter of Law," making their creations more stable but also more rigid. For a Gardener using "Keter of Life," the Dissonance is almost unbearable, like forcing a river into a perfect, angular pipe.
C3. The Loom of Conception (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S2-S3)
- Sefirot: S2 Chokmah ↔ S3 Binah
- Archetype: Genesis Architect.
- Mechanical Breakdown: Chokmah provides the raw material: a chaotic storm of infinite possibilities and potential forms. Binah acts as the loom, selecting a single thread of possibility and giving it a rigid, definite structure. The finished "Prototype" is inherently unstable because the infinite other possibilities are still latently present, constantly pressing against the singular form Binah has imposed.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Invention." The user constantly perceives the world in terms of its potential, seeing how objects could be improved or repurposed. They are master artisans and inventors, but their creations are always flawed, temporary, or have unintended side effects, reflecting the unstable nature of the cycle.
- Dissonance & Risk: The cycle's extreme Dissonance is a direct conflict between chaotic possibility (Chokmah) and rigid structure (Binah). The risk is a blended Dissolution and Petrification. Collapse triggers a "Stillbirth," where the energy of the cycle violently returns to its chaotic state, often causing the prototype to explode or transform into a monstrous, cancerous parody of its intended form.
C4. The Golden Mandate (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S2-S6)
- Sefirot: S2 Chokmah ↔ S6 Tiferet
- Archetype: Lawgiver King.
- Mechanical Breakdown: This cycle filters the infinite, chaotic possibilities of Chokmah through the harmonizing, clarifying lens of the user's core Self (Tiferet). It selects a single "perfect" future that aligns with the user's personal integrity and projects it outward, not as a command, but as a compelling, self-evident truth. The user's own sense of harmony becomes the anchor that gives one of Chokmah's infinite possibilities a tangible weight.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Inevitability." The user's vision of the world feels like the most natural, beautiful, and correct path. This doesn't force compliance like a Binah
Rule
, but gently and inexorably persuades others to align with the user's vision, making dissent feel disharmonious and illogical. - Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance stems from an act of profound ego: imposing a single, subjective "perfect" vision (Tiferet) onto the infinite, objective possibilities of Chokmah. The primary risk is Hollowing, as the user's identity becomes defined by this single, projected future, causing them to lose connection to their true, more complex self. Collapse triggers a "Shattered Mandate," a psychic backlash where the user is forced to experience all the possible failed futures they had rejected, often leading to catatonic despair.
C5. The Font of Doctrine (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S2-S4)
- Sefirot: S2 Chokmah ↔ S4 Chesed
- Archetype: Hierophant Preceptor.
- Mechanical Breakdown: This Resonant cycle is the engine of evangelism. It takes the raw, abstract, and often cold insight of Chokmah and channels it through the boundless, unconditional compassion of Chesed. This transforms a cosmic truth into a nurturing, accessible, and emotionally resonant doctrine. Chokmah provides the "what," while Chesed provides the "why you should care," turning a revelation into a sermon.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Benevolent Truth." The user's words are imbued with a compassionate weight that makes them deeply persuasive. It bypasses logical deconstruction by appealing directly to the listener's desire for a nurturing, positive worldview.
- Dissonance & Risk: As a Resonant cycle between two Mercy pathways, the Dissonance is low. The primary risk is Dissolution. The user's own identity can be consumed by the very ideology they preach, their compassion becoming so boundless that they lose themselves in their own message, becoming a mouthpiece for an idea rather than a person. Collapse triggers "Doctrinal Feedback," a psychic backlash where the user is assaulted by the emotional weight of all the counter-arguments and suffering their "truth" cannot solve.
C6. The Oath-Forge (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S3-S6)
- Sefirot: S3 Binah ↔ S6 Tiferet
- Archetype: The Vow-Sworn Templar.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine runs on the metaphysical fusion of identity and law. The user takes their core self, with all its integrity and balance (Tiferet), and willingly binds it to a single, absolute, external principle or vow (Binah). The unshakable integrity of the self fuels the unbreakability of the law, and in return, the perfect structure of the law gives the self a tangible, powerful form.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Conviction." The user's vow is a palpable force, manifesting as physical arms and armor whose strength is directly proportional to the user's adherence to their oath. To strike their armor is to strike their belief.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance is profound, created by shackling the fluid, balanced, and introspective Self (Tiferet) to a rigid, external, and uncompromising structure (Binah). This risks a blended Petrification (from becoming one with the Law) and Hollowing (from subordinating the Self to an external concept). Collapse is catastrophic. If the user is forced to break their vow, the cycle's energy has no path and turns inward, causing the vow to become a self-destructive curse.
C7. The Forge-Heart (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S3-S5)
- Sefirot: S3 Binah ↔ S5 Gevurah
- Archetype: The Chariot Engine.
- Mechanical Breakdown: A Resonant cycle that is the engine of inexorable force. It channels Gevurah's raw, disciplined power into Binah's perfect, unyielding structure. This creates a feedback loop where force is given a perfect, unbreakable container, and that container is then filled with an unstoppable will. It is the magical equivalent of a hydraulic press, applying immense, controlled, and methodical force.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Inexorable Force." The user's presence feels heavy and oppressive. Their momentum, once started, is difficult to halt. The aura imposes a sense of grinding inevitability on the immediate environment, making chaotic actions or sudden changes difficult.
- Dissonance & Risk: As a Resonant cycle, its Dissonance is low, but its risk is a pure, accelerated form of Petrification. The user's identity is consumed by the cycle's singular purpose, their mind calcifying into a simple, unbending instrument of force. They lose all flexibility, empathy, and creativity. Collapse triggers a "Structural Collapse," where the contained Gevurah energy shatters its Binah-forged container (the user's soul), causing catastrophic physical and spiritual trauma.
C8. The Lantern of the Wastes (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S4-S6)
- Sefirot: S4 Chesed ↔ S6 Tiferet
- Archetype: Anchorite of the Wastes.
- Mechanical Breakdown: This Dissonant cycle takes the boundless, externally-focused compassion of Chesed and turns it inward, using it to nurture and perfectly balance the core Self (Tiferet). This creates a state of such profound and unshakable inner peace that it radiates outward, pacifying the external world not through force, but by creating an overwhelming sense of tranquility that makes conflict feel pointless.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Tranquility." The user's presence creates a zone where strong, violent emotions are dampened into weary apathy. It doesn't force peace, but makes struggle feel illogical and exhausting.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance stems from taking an externally-focused concept (boundless giving) and turning it entirely inward. The primary risk is Hollowing. The user becomes so perfectly at peace, so disconnected from the world's necessary struggles, that they lose all purpose and motivation, their identity fading into a state of perfect, empty contentment. Collapse triggers a "Silent Fade," where the user's soul simply unravels, leaving a permanent zone of apathy where they fell.
C9. The Wheel's Turn (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S4-S7)
- Sefirot: S4 Chesed ↔ S7 Netzach
- Archetype: Fortune-Spun Weaver.
- Mechanical Breakdown: A Resonant cycle that is the engine of good fortune. It channels the passionate, enduring drive for a specific outcome (Netzach) and uses it to guide the boundless generosity of Chesed. The user doesn't command luck, but "persuades" reality to provide an overabundance of favorable conditions, making a desired outcome statistically more likely.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Favorable Winds." The user and their allies experience a consistent stream of minor, beneficial coincidences. An enemy's foot might slip at a critical moment, a needed tool appears close at hand, a gust of wind blows smoke into an archer's eyes. It doesn't guarantee victory, but it stacks the deck.
- Dissonance & Risk: Being Resonant, the Dissonance is low. The risk is pure Dissolution. The user can become addicted to the thrill of the "game," their identity dissolving into the endless pursuit of favorable outcomes and lucky breaks, losing all sense of purpose beyond the next win. Collapse triggers "The Wheel Breaks," a chaotic backlash where probability goes haywire for everyone nearby, creating a storm of both good and bad luck.
C10. The Scales of Retribution (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S5-S6)
- Sefirot: S5 Gevurah ↔ S6 Tiferet
- Archetype: Karmic Arbiter.
- Mechanical Breakdown: A Dissonant cycle that links the merciless judgment of Gevurah with the perfect harmony of Tiferet. The user perceives an imbalance in the world through their core sense of harmony (Tiferet). They then use Gevurah's precise, disciplined force not to destroy the source of the imbalance, but to "correct" it by inflicting a proportional, thematically appropriate consequence. Tiferet identifies the karmic debt; Gevurah collects it.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Equilibrium." The user becomes a focal point of karmic balance. In their presence, actions have swift and direct consequences. A lie might cause the liar's tongue to twist; a charitable act might be immediately rewarded with a stroke of good fortune.
- Dissonance & Risk: Dissonance comes from applying a harsh, external judgment (Gevurah) to achieve a state of gentle, internal harmony (Tiferet). The risk is a blend of Petrification (becoming an unfeeling instrument of cosmic law) and Hollowing (losing one's own identity to become a neutral, impersonal fulcrum). Collapse triggers a "Karmic Inversion," where the cycle's balancing force turns inward, instantly inflicting the karmic weight of the user's own recent actions upon themself.
C11. The Serpent's Coil (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S5-S8)
- Sefirot: S5 Gevurah ↔ S8 Hod
- Archetype: The Grand Tactician.
- Mechanical Breakdown: A Resonant cycle that is the engine of a master strategist. It links Hod's complex system analysis with Gevurah's disciplined, decisive force. The user perceives a system (a battlefield, a social hierarchy, a magical working) with the cold clarity of Hod, identifying its key nodes and weaknesses. They then apply Gevurah's precise, disciplined force to those points to achieve a desired, calculated outcome. It is the art of sacrificing a pawn to checkmate the king.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Cold Calculation." The user perceives the world as a complex system of inputs and outputs, probabilities, and assets. Their mind is a constant stream of tactical analysis, and their actions are precise, economical, and often ruthless.
- Dissonance & Risk: As a Resonant cycle, the Dissonance is low. The risk is pure Petrification. The user's mind becomes a cold, unfeeling logic engine, seeing people not as living beings but as assets to be deployed or sacrificed. Their identity is subsumed by the system they seek to master. Collapse traps the user's mind in an inescapable analytical loop, endlessly processing the final moments before the collapse.
C12. The Ashen Phoenix (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S6-S7)
- Sefirot: S6 Tiferet ↔ S7 Netzach
- Archetype: Phoenix-Born.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine runs on the conversion of self into fuel. The user takes their integrated, harmonious core self (Tiferet) and uses it as a sacrifice to feed the passionate, enduring flame of Netzach. It is the art of turning a wound into a weapon and death into a catalyst.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Defiant Rebirth." The user seems to thrive on adversity, growing more passionate and resilient the closer they are to defeat. Their presence is an inspiration in a losing battle.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance stems from the act of sacrificing the harmonious self (Tiferet) to fuel raw, chaotic passion (Netzach). This risks a blend of Hollowing (as the core self is consumed) and Dissolution (as the user's identity is overtaken by raw passion). Collapse triggers a "Final Cinder," a catastrophic event where the cycle consumes the user's soul in a final, massive burst of power, preventing any possibility of rebirth.
C13. The Alchemical Marriage (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S6-S9)
- Sefirot: S6 Tiferet ↔ S9 Yesod
- Archetype: Alchemical Soul-Binder.
- Mechanical Breakdown: This Resonant cycle creates a stable, harmonious feedback loop between the conscious, integrated self (Tiferet) and the subconscious, dream-like foundation of reality (Yesod). It is the engine of psychic integration, allowing the user to safely navigate the subconscious and align their waking mind with their deepest truths.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Psychic Clarity." The user is exceptionally resistant to illusions, mental manipulation, and madness. Their presence has a calming, clarifying effect on others, helping them see past their own self-deceptions. It is the ultimate tool for healing Hollowing.
- Dissonance & Risk: As a Resonant cycle, the Dissonance is low. The primary risk is a subtle form of Hollowing. By perfectly integrating the self with the subconscious, the user risks losing the distinction between the two, their individual identity dissolving into the vast, impersonal ocean of the collective unconscious. Collapse triggers a "Psychic Schism," a violent separation of the conscious and subconscious minds, often resulting in madness or a split personality.
C14. The Devil's Bargain (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S6-S8)
- Sefirot: S6 Tiferet ↔ S8 Hod
- Archetype: The Evangelist.
- Mechanical Breakdown: This Dissonant cycle is the engine of conceptual subversion. The user takes an idealized, perfect version of their core Self (Tiferet)—often by suppressing their own flaws—and uses it as the beautiful, unimpeachable foundation for a splendid and complex logical system (Hod). The resulting ideology is so compelling because its core "truth" feels harmonious and perfect.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Gilded Truth." The user's words and arguments are imbued with a beautiful, charismatic authority. Their ideology seems not just logical, but profoundly true and desirable, making surrender to it feel like an act of salvation.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance comes from creating a rigid, external system (Hod) from a fluid, internal truth (Tiferet), often based on a foundation of self-deception. The risk is a blend of Hollowing (as the user's true self is suppressed) and Petrification (as they become trapped in their own perfect system). Collapse traps the user in their own argument, a "Logic Loop" where they are forever unable to perceive any reality that contradicts their failed ideology.
C15. The Tower's Fall (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S7-S8)
- Sefirot: S7 Netzach ↔ S8 Hod
- Archetype: Tower-Struck.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine of catastrophic failure. The user analyzes a complex, rigid system (Hod) to find its single point of greatest structural or logical weakness. They then channel a raw, overwhelming, and chaotic surge of pure passion and will (Netzach) directly into that single point. It is not a deconstruction, but a demolition, using brute force guided by precise analysis.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Catastrophic Revelation." The user constantly perceives the breaking points in systems around them, from the flaw in a fortress wall to the foundational lie of an ideology. They are a walking agent of entropy for brittle structures.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance between chaotic, passionate force (Netzach) and rigid, logical systems (Hod) is extreme, making the cycle notoriously volatile. It risks a rapid, blended Dissolution and Petrification. Collapse triggers "The Shattering Truth," a psychic backlash that broadcasts the unbearable, system-breaking truth into the minds of everyone nearby, often causing mass panic, madness, or a crisis of faith.
C16. The Guiding Light (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S7-S9)
- Sefirot: S7 Netzach ↔ S9 Yesod
- Archetype: Starlight Herald.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine of manifested hope. The user reaches into the subconscious (Yesod) of a person or a group to find a latent, shared aspiration—a glimmer of hope. They then use their own boundless, enduring passion (Netzach) to fuel that glimmer, giving it tangible, magical form and broadcasting it as a palpable, inspiring force.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Tangible Hope." The user and their allies feel a tangible sense of hope and purpose, making them resistant to fear, despair, and morale-breaking effects. The hope can manifest as a faint, guiding light or a feeling of warmth and courage.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance arises from linking a raw, personal passion (Netzach) with the fluid, often deceptive collective subconscious (Yesod). The risk is a blended Dissolution (losing the self to the passion of the cause) and Hollowing (becoming an empty vessel for the hopes of others). Collapse inverts the cycle, turning the manifested hope into a "Shared Nightmare," broadcasting a wave of the collective's deepest fears instead.
C17. The Primal Heartbeat (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S7-S10)
- Sefirot: S7 Netzach ↔ S10 Malkuth
- Archetype: Primal Shepherd.
- Mechanical Breakdown: Links Netzach's raw, untamed passion and animal instinct directly into Malkuth's physicality and embodiment. It bypasses the higher functions of intellect (Hod) and subconscious (Yesod), creating a purely instinctual being. The user's drive (Netzach) becomes a command that shapes their flesh (Malkuth) and the flesh of their bonded beasts.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of the Pack." The user and their bonded beasts become a single, unified entity, sharing instincts and a primal, non-verbal understanding. It allows them to fight with perfect, predatory coordination.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance comes from shackling the boundless passion of Netzach to the base physicality of Malkuth. The risk is a blend of Dissolution (losing the self to animal instinct) and Hollowing (as the higher functions of the mind are bypassed and atrophy). Collapse triggers "Primal Regression," where the user's consciousness is permanently subsumed by the pack's collective, animalistic will.
C18. The Sun's Gaze (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S8-S9)
- Sefirot: S8 Hod ↔ S9 Yesod
- Archetype: Luminary Inquisitor.
- Mechanical Breakdown: Applies the cold, analytical logic of Hod to the chaotic, dream-like data of the subconscious (Yesod). It is an engine of inquisition, allowing the user to see past illusions and perceive the hidden, foundational truths of a person or system by analyzing the subconscious "data" for inconsistencies.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Unbearable Clarity." The user perceives all forms of deception—lies, illusions, self-deceptions—as jarring "static" or logical errors. Their gaze is unsettling, making it difficult for others to maintain falsehoods in their presence.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance is between the logical, structured nature of Hod and the fluid, symbolic nature of Yesod. The risk is a blend of Petrification (becoming trapped in a rigid, truth-only worldview) and Hollowing (losing the ability to process metaphor, art, and belief). Collapse triggers a "Blinding Revelation," where the user's mind is shattered by the unfiltered weight of every secret and subconscious truth in their immediate vicinity.
C19. The Final Word (Dissonant 2-Node Loop: S8-S10)
- Sefirot: S8 Hod ↔ S10 Malkuth
- Archetype: Master Artificer.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine of perfect manifestation. The user creates a flawless, splendid conceptual blueprint in their mind (Hod) and then imposes that perfect form directly onto raw, physical matter (Malkuth). It bypasses the slower, more organic processes of creation, forcing matter to conform to an idealized, logical template.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Perfect Form." The user can perceive the "ideal" form of objects around them. Their craftsmanship is flawless, and they can temporarily "correct" minor flaws in objects with a touch.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance comes from imposing the perfect, static logic of Hod onto the messy, imperfect reality of Malkuth. The primary risk is extreme Petrification, as the user comes to see all flawed, organic life as an error to be corrected. Collapse causes the user's own body to be targeted by the cycle, its physical form un-making itself as it fails to live up to the perfect blueprint.
C20. The World-Forge (Resonant 2-Node Loop: S9-S10)
- Sefirot: S9 Yesod ↔ S10 Malkuth
- Archetype: Genius Loci.
- Mechanical Breakdown: A Resonant cycle that creates a stable feedback loop between the subconscious "dream" of a location (Yesod) and its physical reality (Malkuth). The user merges their consciousness with the location's spirit, allowing them to make its subconscious "desires" or "memories" tangible in the physical world.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Embodiment." Within their chosen territory, the user is a minor demigod. They can subtly alter the landscape, guide the weather, and awaken the land to defend itself. Their power is directly tied to the health and history of the location.
- Dissonance & Risk: As a Resonant cycle, the Dissonance is low. The primary risk is Hollowing. The user's individual identity can be subsumed by the location's genius loci, their personality fading until they are nothing more than the disembodied will of the mountain or forest they inhabit. Collapse triggers a "Geomantic Rejection," where the location's spirit violently expels the user's consciousness, often causing catastrophic physical and spiritual trauma.
C21. The Oracle's Gyre (Dissonant 3-Node Loop: S1-S6-S2-S1)
- Sefirot: S1 Keter → S6 Tiferet → S2 Chokmah → S1
- Archetype: Prophet of the Veil.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine of pure, unfiltered prophecy. Raw, unmanifested potential (Keter) is channeled through the user's core Self (Tiferet), which acts as a spiritual lens. This focused potential then illuminates a single, true possibility from the infinite storm of Chokmah, which is perceived by the user as a vision before the energy returns to the source. The prophet's own integrity is the only thing that gives the formless a coherent, if cryptic, shape.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Revelation." The user is a walking oracle. Their presence can cause minor, unintended prophetic phenomena: spilled wine might form a meaningful pattern, the wind might whisper a warning. They perceive the world in terms of its deepest symbolic truths.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance is extreme, chaining the concepts of the One (Keter), the Individual (Tiferet), and the Many (Chokmah). The primary risk is Hollowing, as the user's Self is eroded by its use as a mere conduit between two infinities. Collapse is one of the most feared magical events, a "Shattered Oracle" where the user's soul is not just broken but annihilated by the simultaneous influx of all of Keter's potential and all of Chokmah's possibilities.
C22. The Surgeon's Mercy (Dissonant 3-Node Loop: S4-S5-S6-S4)
- Sefirot: S4 Chesed → S5 Gevurah → S6 Tiferet → S4
- Archetype: Alchemical Justicar.
- Mechanical Breakdown: The engine of spiritual surgery, a paradox made manifest. The user first channels merciless, precise judgment (Gevurah) to act as a conceptual scalpel, excising the spiritual "tumor" of the corruption. This act of necessary destruction is then immediately followed by a wave of boundless, life-giving compassion (Chesed) that acts as a healing stitch, closing the wound in the soul. The entire, profoundly Dissonant process is held in perfect, unshakable harmony by the user's own core integrity (Tiferet), which acts as the steady hand of the surgeon.
- Sustained Effect: An "Aura of Diagnosis." The user has a profound and unsettling perception of the spiritual health of others. They can see auras not just as colors, but as balanced or diseased systems. Their presence is a comfort to the healthy and a source of deep unease for the corrupt.
- Dissonance & Risk: The Dissonance is legendary, holding the absolute opposition of Chesed and Gevurah in a stable loop. The slightest faltering of the user's own integrity (Tiferet) will cause a collapse. The risk is a blend of Dissolution and Petrification. Collapse triggers a "Paradoxical Ruin," where the cycle's warring concepts turn inward, inflicting a rapid and catastrophic version of the very corruption the user was attempting to heal.
