6. Thagirion (The Disputers)
- Sefirah Shadow: S6 Tiferet (Beauty)
- Twisted Principle: Hideous, violent discord; the scream that silences music.
- Ruling Archdemon(s): Belphegor.
The realm: the Hall of Shattered Mirrors
- Aesthetics: A mockery of Tiferet's Resplendent Heart. Where the Sefirotic realm is a place of perfect, harmonious beauty, Thagirion's realm is a palace of weaponized self-loathing. It is an endless, opulent hall of mirrors, but each mirror is cracked, distorted, and reflects not the viewer's image, but their deepest insecurities, their most shameful memories, and their ugliest flaws. The only sound is a constant, grating psychic shriek—the sound of a million souls crying out in self-hatred.
- Inhabitants: The realm is populated by the manifested neuroses of its victims.
- Pain-Constructs: The most common inhabitants. These are semi-sentient beings of shadow and broken glass, each one the physical embodiment of a specific form of suffering: a Shame-Thing that whispers a victim's greatest regrets, a Fear-Thing that takes the form of their phobias, an Envy-Thing that wears the face of their rivals.
- Whispering Reflections: The mirrors themselves are semi-sentient, constantly whispering tailored, soul-crushing "truths" to anyone who looks into them.
- Manifestation: Thagirion's influence is the ultimate form of psychological warfare. Its Divers do not attack the body, but the ego. They use
Psychic Flay
to amplify a target's insecurities and can manifest their victims' inner demons as tangiblePain-Constructs
. The final Avatar is the Thagirion Tormentor.
Folkloric Allegory
The Husk's nature is allegorized in the proverb, "A cracked mirror still shows a whole face," and the fall of a Tiferet master into this state is detailed in the tale of "The Wanderer's Path".
Strategic Profile
- Playstyle: A psychological warfare faction focused on debuffing and turning enemies against each other. It excels at neutralizing powerful single targets.
- Key Units:
Pain-Construct
(Debuffer that reduces a target's attack damage and defense),Echo of Doubt
(Caster that has a chance to cause an enemy unit to attack its own allies). - Ultimate Ability: Mirror Maze: Traps a target enemy hero in a psychic maze of their own flaws for a short duration. The hero is disabled and takes heavy psychic damage based on how many enemies they have killed during the match.
Doctrinal counters
- Adamant Concord: Emotionless logic. A Sophist Hunter or a team of Logos Scribes is highly resistant. Their minds, trained to see the world as a system of pure data, can analyze the Pain-Constructs as flawed logical propositions and deconstruct them. Unawakened cohorts, with their simpler, disciplined minds, are also surprisingly effective.
- Flowing Garden: Overwhelming self-acceptance. A Netzach Champion's passion is not based on a perfect self-image, but on the joy of the struggle. They can embrace their flaws as part of their strength, "starving" the Pain-Constructs of the shame they feed on.
- Way of the Middle Pillar: True psychic healing. The ultimate counter. An Alchemical Soul-Binder does not fight the Pain-Constructs, but uses their art to heal the underlying trauma that created them, causing them to dissolve peacefully.
